Wow. What to say about me.

When I started this site, I was a sophomore in college, not quite sure where I was going in the world and obsessed with anime. I've certainly changed a lot in the past 6 years, so....hmm.

Well, I consider myself a writer, I suppose, above all else. I write a lot of fanfiction. I lived in Japan for three years and do some Japanese/English translation work on the side every so often. Right now I work in the graphic design field and am also working on a novel.

I like shounen mecha anime (you know, big robots, stuff blowing up in space, aka Gundam and Macross) and cyberpunk (think Lain). As I was an English major, I also happen to like weird, symbolic psychedelic stuff, and Utena surely fits the bill there. I've actually been away from the anime fandom scene for a few years, as I got into Japanese rock music a while back. My favorite band is L'Arc~en~Ciel, and I also like Gackt, B'z, Siam Shade, X Japan, Takui, etc etc etc. I have several jrock webpages, but as they have nothing to do with Utena, I won't talk about them.

I have a Tsuchiya Ruka site, Seraphitus, if you would like to know more about my other favorite Utena character. I think it's the only Ruka site around. Poor guy.
